About Grant Garrett | Healing Path Counseling

Grant Garrett, MC, LMFT, CSAT, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in addictions counseling. He has a master’s degree in counseling and is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). He is also a trained Affect Centered Therapy (ACT) clinician. Grant specializes in treating individuals and couples who are dealing with problems related to sexual addiction and compulsive behaviors, and he facilitates men’s therapy groups devoted to sexual addiction recovery. He also has experience working with a wide range of counseling needs, including depression, anxiety, anger management, and individual and marital issues. In addition, he is experienced in working with adolescent issues and family counseling. Grant is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH), the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), and the Professional Association for Sexual Addiction Treatment (PASAT).

Married and the father of four, Grant also enjoys hiking, skiing, and volleyball—basically, anything outdoors. He also enjoys writing.

Grant’s office is located in Folsom, and he continues to serve the greater Sacramento area of California.

Chelsea Gilbert, M.A., MFT-I, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling. Chelsea works with individuals, couples, families, adults and teenagers regarding issues such as trauma, grief, loss, addictions, depression, anxiety, relational difficulties, life transitions, and attachment disorders. She specializes in treating couples, including couples and partners whose relationships have been ruptured by sexual addiction and trauma. She also facilitates women’s support groups. Chelsea began working in the mental health field 10 years ago. She has years of experience working in addiction recovery, therapeutic mentoring and behavioral intervention programs. She utilizes a client-based approach to treatment, which leads to goal-oriented, interactive, task-centered and strengths-based therapy. Chelsea is a member the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), the Professional Association for Sexual Addiction Treatment (PASAT), the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH), the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) as well as the Sacramento Chapter of CAMFT (SVC-CAMFT). Chelsea is a candidate for the Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) designation, having trained with Dr. Patrick Carnes and other leaders in the field of sex addiction treatment.

Married and mother of three, Chelsea enjoys stepping out for a live concert or show and staying in with a good book or movie.
